Started in 2017 by four budding impact capitalists, Norrsken VC is a venture capital arm of the non-profit Norrsken Foundation. We exist to drive more capital to entrepreneurs building impactful businesses.
Norrsken VC is an SFDR Article 9 or "Dark Green" fund, with every investment tied to at least one of the 17 SDGs. We work hard with every startup that joins the portfolio to help them define, measure and scale their impact.
We take a pragmatic, results driven approach to impact, and are lucky to back the top 1% of startups in this space – including a growing number of Unicorns.

Our financing is made possible through financial backing of the Swedish Government-owned company Saminvest AB, along with limited partners including Folksam and KfW Capital. Norrsken VC is also supported by European Investment Fund (EIF), with the financial backing of the European Union under Horizon 2020 Financial Instruments and the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI) set up under the Investment Plan for Europe. The purpose of EFSI is to help support financing and implementing productive investments in the European Union and to ensure increased access to financing.
