Welcome to our 2024 Impact Report – a look at what our portfolio companies have done to move the needle. This year’s edition highlights the grit, progress and potential of impact startups in a world that feels anything but predictable. It’s a snapshot of where we are, what we’ve learned, and why we believe the case for impact has never been stronger.
The round, led by Notion Capital with strong participation from Norrsken VC, comes just six months after Endra’s pre-seed, driven by rapid post-launch momentum. Since onboarding its first customers in August, demand has taken off, with more than 600 companies across 90+ countries now on the waitlist. Engineering teams around the world are eager to get the full product suite in place – a clear signal of the urgency behind building sustainable infrastructure at scale.
The Construction Supercycle
This investment lands in the middle of a global construction supercycle. The world needs 40% more construction output by 2030, nearly 70% more by 2040, and floor area is expected to grow 75% by 2050. At the same time, 20% of today’s buildings must be retrofitted to meet zero-carbon-ready standards, and we need around 21 million new homes every year. Digital infrastructure is expanding even faster, with data-centre capacity set to more than triple this decade.
But the systems responsible for delivering all of this aren’t keeping pace. Productivity has barely improved in 20 years, labour shortages have nearly tripled, and project complexity continues to rise. Without a major shift in speed and digitalisation, the world could fall $40 trillion short of required construction output by 2040.

The first AI-powered, end-to-end infrastructure for MEP engineering
Endra’s AI-driven platform goes straight at this bottleneck by replacing months of manual MEP work with a fully automated workflow. An architect’s 3D model flows directly into Endra, which automatically designs all core MEP systems – from outlets and lighting to fire alarms, cabling and ventilation – and produces code-compliant, clash-free 3D models plus all documentation, drawings and calculations.
What typically takes large consultant teams months of iteration is delivered in hours. In real-world projects, Endra has shown 70x efficiency improvements, helping engineering firms accelerate complex electrical, cooling and cabling systems at unprecedented speed while enabling greener, more predictable delivery.
Co-Founder & CEO Niklas Lindgren explains:
“The world is entering a period of rapid and unprecedented construction activity. Workflows that currently take many months are completed in a matter of hours with Endra. This marks a clear before-and-after moment for a global MEP engineering sector that represents 5–6% of the total building construction industry.”
Co-Founder & COO Anton Juric adds:
“Endra is taking on one of the hardest technical problems in the built world. Demand grew so fast that we had to cap pilots and focus on a select group of leading partners. Now that we’re onboarding customers, the momentum is accelerating even more.”
From our side, Norrsken VC Partner Alexander Danielsson puts it simply:
“Doubling down on Endra only six months after leading their pre-seed was an easy decision. The team has made rapid progress, bringing traditionally 2D workflows into a fully automated 3D environment and attracting exceptional demand from major consultancies.”
What’s next
With fresh capital, Endra is scaling fast, opening offices in multiple countries, supporting customers across continents and speeding up a roadmap already marked by major technical breakthroughs.
We’re proud to back Niklas, Anton, Gustav and David as they build the generative MEP design infrastructure the world’s construction engine urgently needs.
